It's Your Boyfriend

Attended a live taping of CBC's George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight. Got a front row seat to all of the action. The guest was none other than Vanilla Ice who turned out to be surprisingly cool & down to earth. George was a gracious host and a pleasure to finally meet.

Random

Random act of kindness. This brightened up my day. Daisies are one of my favourites.

Sweet Shop

I haven't decided whether the newly opened Archie comic themed candy & sweet shop is a good thing for me or not. But today, they gave me a free chocolate ice cream cone. Definitely smile worthy.

Little Things

Random smiles taken in transit. Delayed at the airport for several hours, it's the little things that made me smile.

Fresh Air

Living adjacent to the waterfront trails is truly a gift. Enjoyed the fresh air & beauty by the lakeside.

Spark Light

The upside to staying home on a holiday long weekend is sparklers! I think I'm going back to the store to buy more for tomorrow night. No seriously, I loved it.

Life Is A Dance

Something most people don't know about me is that I love the ballet. Ever since I saw the Nutcracker for the first time & put on my first pair of ballet slippers I was hooked. Life is a dance and though some days we don't even want to think about dancing, today's smile helps me to remember a passion I had almost forgotten.

Ciao!

The promise of chocolate & the lure of sunshine motivated me today. The lady at the local gelato shop said they had so many people in line yesterday that they actually ran out of everything. Today I had a cup of gelato called milk chocolate fantasy. It certainly lived up to its name.

Smiles In The City

Today was a lovely day as there were smiles abound just about everywhere we looked. In a city as beautiful & diverse as Toronto, it's easy to find the things that ignite your spirit. As Queen West becomes more commercialized, Kensington Market is still the place to hear live music & find one of a kind items. I won't soon forget this day, the colours will remain fresh in my mind. Toronto I missed you.

Walkabout

I was little miss cranky pants this morning but I forged ahead and went for a walkabout downtown. The flower shops were exquisite. Floral atmospheres have an immediate influence on mood and environment. Simple beauty at its best.

Cafe Smile

Today I went to a local cafe with a special friend and she told me about this great idea called the smile project.
